Often you find a great video on YouTube and the moment you want to see it again, it is deleted. Or you find this great song on YouTube and you want to download the music. The good news is that there are several online YouTube downloaders that let you grab video and audio from the web.
You can also provide a link to one of these YouTube downloaders to your viewers so they can download your videos.

This is my YouTube downloader nr1. It’s good, fast and easy. you just copy and paste a link to a YouTube video in the form and hit download. You are offered the possibility to choose between *.flv, *.mp4, *.webM and often other formats. Great for ripping video!
For ripping audio It wants you to install software on your computer, I wouldn’t bother because of spyware and nasty tool bars. It is better to download an *.mp4 file and extract the mp3 with a free video converter.

Very easy to use YouTube downloader. Just copy and paste the YouTube link in the form and you can instantly convert to different formats. The advertising and pop-ups are a big turn off though.

It let’s you download and convert video files here but also a lot of other files are possible to convert. *.jpg to *.png, *.docx to *.doc, *.flac to *.mp3 and many more. So a YouTube downloader and online converter in one. The design of the website is as ugly as can be, but don’t let that spoil the fun!

A great online YouTube downloader, but more than that, it allows you to download videos from streaming video sites, including YouTube, Metacafe, MySpace, DailyMotion, Veoh, Break, Revver, WeGame, Blip.tv, Tangle, 5min, FaceBook, LiveVideo.com, Game Trailers, RuTube, current, eHow, Vimeo, Funny Or Die, and Megavideo in FLV, MOV, AVI, WMV or MPG formats.
There is plenty of downloadable software to be found, but they only take space on your hard drive and a lot of them come with spyware or nasty tool bars, so unless you really need one of the extra features those programs can provide you, I would stick to one of these good old online YouTube Downloaders.
